Gangwon FC defeated Chungbuk Cheongju FC in a penalty shoot-out thanks to the good performance of goalkeeper Yoo Sang-hoon and advanced to the round of 16 of the Korea Football Association (FA) Cup.

Gangwon won 7-6 in a penalty shoot-out after failing to score 1-1 in the home game against Chungbuk Cheongju in the 3rd round of the Hanawon Q FA Cup 2023 held at Gangneung Sports Complex on the 2nd.

The match was originally scheduled to be held on the 12th of last month, but was postponed due to a large forest fire in Gangneung.
