Lee Young-bok’s U-18 National Team is preparing for a tough schedule due to inclement weather. Two games in seven days.

Korea faced Puerto Rico in Taichung, Taiwan on Saturday (June 6) in the final game of Group A of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Baseball World Cup.

After Puerto Rico scored a run in the top of the first inning and the bases were loaded, the game was suspended due to rain. The game resumed after some time, and Korea scored five runs in the top of the first inning with the bases loaded to take a 5-1 lead, but then the rain came down again.

In the top of the third inning, with South Korea leading 5-1, the rain came down in torrents. After waiting for three to four hours, the game was called off. It became a suspended game.

It was decided that the suspended game would be rescheduled for the morning of the 7th in Taipei. The team was forced to play a doubleheader due to bad weather. The game will resume in the third inning at 5-1.

South Korea was originally scheduled to play its first game of the tournament against Puerto Rico on the first day of the tournament, but it was canceled due to rain. Their first opponent ended up being Taiwan on the 2nd instead, and they lost 1-6.

To make matters worse, the rain delayed the final game of the group stage on the reserve day. The team will wrap up the group stage on Sunday morning, with the first game of the Super Round immediately following in the afternoon.

If South Korea wins against Puerto Rico, they will advance to the Super Round as Group 2 and meet Japan in the first round. An upset loss would see them finish third and face the Netherlands in the first round. Regardless of who they face, they will be facing a doubleheader.먹튀검증
