By Hanam Jik Reporter = A starting pitcher and manager were ejected from a baseball game in Changwon between the LG Twins and the NC Dinos.
Im Chan-kyu started the game against the visiting NC Dinos at Changwon NC Park on July 27 and threw a fastball to the head of the third batter, Park Gun-woo, in the bottom of the first inning.
In the KBO, a player is ejected if he hits a batter in the head with a fastball.
This is the 10th time this season that Im has been ejected for a head shot.
After giving up consecutive hits to Son As-seob and Park Min-woo, Im was removed from the mound after throwing a pitch to Park Gun-woo that hit him in the body, leaving the bases loaded.
Choi Dong-hwan, who came on in a hurry, hit Jason Martin with a pitch to the body, and Lim Chan-gyu was unable to get a single out.
Park was immediately replaced by pinch-hitter Yoon Hyung-jun, who was taken to a nearby hospital.
After the top of the third inning, NC manager Kang In-hwa was ordered out of the game.
In the top of the third inning, with runners on first and third, LG’s Shin Min-jae hit a ball between the second baseman and center fielder.
NC second baseman Park Gun-woo made a dynamic catch and threw to first base to catch Hong Chang-ki, who failed to return home.

This is the 11th time this season that a coach has been sent off. Of these, nine were for protesting the video review.
