Jang Su-jeong (ranked 137th), a Korean women’s tennis player belonging to Daegu City Hall, won the ITF Non-TV Women’s Open 2nd Tournament (total prize money of $60,000) in singles.

On the final day of the tournament held in Astana, Kazakhstan on the 12th, Sujeong Jang defeated Mouka Uchijima (136th, Japan) 2-0 (6-1 6-4) in the singles final against Korea and Japan.스포츠토토

Sujeong Jang once again rose to the top of the international singles tournament eight months after the Women’s Professional Tennis (WTA) 125K Series Nodia Open (total prize money of $115,000) held in Vestad, Sweden in July last year.

Sujeong Jang, who gave up her first serve game in her 1st set, won 6 games in a row to preempt the 1st set. In the beginning of the second set, she was drawn 1-3, but also took 4 games and made a come-from-behind victory 5-3.

Sujeong Jang, who is one step down in the world rankings, has recorded two victories against Uchijima.

Sujeong Jang is expected to rise to around 116th in the world singles ranking next week. Jang Su-jeong’s personal best singles ranking was 114th in July last year.

Sujeong Jang, who finished runner-up in the doubles event, is currently ranked 100th in the world doubles ranking and will enter the 90th in the rankings next week.
