San Diego Padres’ Ji-Man Choi will play a rehab game.
The Padres’ Triple-A affiliate, the El Paso Chihuahuas, announced today that Ji-Man Choi will be making a rehab assignment.
El Paso will open a six-game series at home against the Round Rock Express (Triple-A Texas Rangers). Choi joins the team.
Choi was placed on the disabled list on Aug. 15 with a left rib cage strain.
He’s been rehabbing in Arizona and will make a final check on the field.
In 30 games with the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Diego this season, Choi is batting .179 with a .239 on-base percentage and .440 slugging percentage.
After missing most of the first half of the season with an Achilles injury, he was traded to a team in contention for the postseason, giving him a chance to rebound, but his new team has been hampered by injuries as well.
The team is also falling. As of June 6, they are in seventh place in the wild card standings, 6.5 games out of third place.카지노
In seven games with San Diego, he is 1-for-11 with five walks and three strikeouts.
